anticipation

At a friend's recommendation, I read Ann Voskamp's book 1000 Gifts.  Through it, I discovered her blog, "A Holy Experience," and today I encourage you to read her post Why Every Day Begs to be Thanksgiving.  In this post she sums up much of what she says in the book, which, to sum it up even more, is that we should give thanks for everything.

As the holiday Thanksgiving nears, I'm trying to move deeper into the practice of thanksgiving in my life.  To me the commercial chaos of our holiday season drives home the need for contentment.  So for the next little while, I'd like to mention at least one thing I'm thankful for each day.  Starting, of course, with:

*these four white walls that shelter me from the cold.
What are you thankful for today?
