I got a rock.

Technically I did get a rock, but it was so that I could give a rock.  So someone else  is going to be saying, "I got a rock" in about a week.  Or maybe she won't say that.  She's four; she might not pay as much attention to the rock...

...as she'll pay to what it's "turned into."  Which is a kitten.

A kitten with a really flat-looking head.  That's why I prefer the overhead view, which in my opinion makes him look plaintive and pathetic in the best possible way.

Hopefully the recipient enjoys her homemade pet.  I'm making her brother a rock alligator.  At least right now that's my plan.  Are you making any of your gifts this year?
